Does anyone know where I can get the official maintenance schedule for my Crown XLE? I received a maintenance notice at 5,000 miles, but the dealer told me the first oil change isn't due until 15,000 miles.

I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation at 3,000 miles. Toyota Care covered it, but I had to skip the free service at 5,000 miles. I didn't want to risk those metal shavings hanging around in the engine, so I figured it was worth it.

Don't wait until 15,000 miles for your first service, even if the dealership says it's fine. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the valuable insight. I'm leaning toward earlier service. However, I still need the official Crown XLE maintenance schedule, any suggestions on where to find it?

to get the real maintenance schedule look in your owner's manual (in the car or the infotainment system). You can also find it on Toyota's website. That's the official word on when to do things like oil changes. Dealers sometimes push for earlier services but stick to the official schedule for best results and to keep your warranty good.
