My son's brand new 2024 Limited only came with one key fob, which seems to be a pretty common problem. We also noticed the digital key option isn't showing up in the Toyota Connect app. Is that something we can add later on, or does it have to be a factory thing? Has anyone else run into this?

Is your app updated? You can also visit Toyota’s website to learn more in setting it up.

Looks like those supply issues are still messing things up. The digital key not showing up probably means the car didn't come with the right gear from the factory it's not just a software thing. Toyota might offer a fix later but it's unlikely. Definitely bug your dealer for that missing second key fob. That's a must-have for a new car.

Yeah, I’d agree with @rh4damasunawa. Seems like Toyota’s dealing with a lot of supply chain issues right now, and missing the second key fob isn’t a great look. Definitely keep on the dealer about that! As for the digital key, it could just be an activation thing, but if it’s not showing up in the app, the car might need a system update or some configuration from the dealer.

That’s frustrating! Missing a key fob is one thing, but the digital key issue adds another layer. I’d recommend staying on top of the dealer—hopefully, they’ll get it figured out soon. It might just need an update or something simple, but you definitely shouldn’t have to deal with that kind of thing.
