My phone displays the name correctly when I first couple it with my car, then it switches to "Passive." It then turns back on its own. My last car's phone functioned flawlessly, and I've repaired it more than a dozen times. Functionality seems unaffected, but it's really annoying!

I have a 2024 Toyota Prius XLE, which I belieev uses a similar app, and I’ve noticed that when I use the Toyota app, my phone’s Bluetooth name changes to “passive.” I have to manualy set it back afterward. Even though my car has a digital key, I don’t need to use it for the Bluetooth name to change, just checking if the car is locked through the app causes it

Does the car alert you when you use the digital key instead of the key fob?
That sounds exactly like what’s happening. I’ll test it with the app and see if that’s triggering the change.
