I traveled for almost 50 miles before I noticed that the dealer had put 5.7 quarts of 0W20 in place of the necessary 4.5 quarts of 0W8.I just have taken it to dealer, and I am hoping no serious damage was then. I am so glad I caught it on time, it is crazy.

I will never take my Crown to the dealership for anything unless I am unable to do it because I am missing a specific tool, with the exception of warranty work and the first two complimentary oil changes.
Dealership garages typically don't hire the best and brightest, unless you own a luxury brand. Find a trustworthy tire and lube shop if you are unable or unwilling to perform your own oil changes.

Oh, wow! That's crazy. There is a difference in viscosity between the oils, and it can affect your vehicle’s performance and fuel economy. That's really disappointing! Good call on checking. Did the dealer offer any explanation for the mix-up? It’s frustrating when you’re paying for quality service but don’t get it. Thanks for letting us know!
